Lumbar puncture is performed and reveals an elevated opening pressure of 30 cm H20. Analysis of the cerebrospinal fluid shows a white blood cell count of 18 cells/µL (87% L), a glucose level of 60 mg/dL, and a protein level of 196 mg/dL.
