Cocaine use is skyrocketing in the U.S for the first time in a decade.

The most recent National Survey on Drug Use and Health found that the number of Americans who admitted to trying cocaine for the first time increased by 61 percent from 2013 and 2015. The Washington Post reports the sudden change in cocaine use is due to the sharp increase in Colombia’s illegal coca crops.
