Bayer announced the launch of Aleve Direct Therapy, a drug-free, pain relief device. It is indicated for temporary pain relief associated with sore and aching muscles in the lower back due to strain from exercise or normal household and work activities.
Aleve Direct Therapy utilizes transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) technology which is thought to work by blocking the body’s pain signals and by releasing endorphins at the site of pain.
Aleve Direct Therapy, a Class II medical device, can be worn throughout the day on the lower back and can even be worn during some physical activities. It is safe for daily use and comes with 15 adjustable intensity levels controlled by a wireless remote. The adhesive latex-free gel pads can be used for multiple (approx. 2–5) applications.
