Although investigation into the benefits of magnet therapy is still early, at least one company is touting a magnetic sports necklace that they say eases pain and improves performance.
“At national finals rodeo our neighbor asked if any of our products might help her sister, Fallon Taylor, with an old neck injury," explained Shu Arvilla of Superior Magnetics, in a blog on the company's website. "We told her we thought a magnetic necklace would help and she purchased our magnetic sports necklace. The next day her sister told us Fallon slept wearing our necklace and had a significant reduction in pain as well as a greatly increased range of motion.”
Some data have shown "that when a magnet is placed on the skin, capillary walls relax, allowing for increased blood flow and oxygenation and removal of accumulated pain-producing prostaglandins. Theoretically, these actions relieve muscle spasms and, subsequently, pain."SuperiorMagnetics.com has released a new improved magnetic sports necklace for pain relief and improved performance.
