Therapeutic Use:

Indications for GARAMYCIN:

Susceptible bacterial infections of conjunctiva and cornea.

Adults and Children:

Apply a small amount (½ inch) of ointment to the affected eye(s) 2–3 times daily.

Warnings/Precautions:

Discontinue if purulent discharge, inflammation or pain develops. May retard corneal healing. Neonates. Pregnancy (Cat.C).

Pharmacological Class:

Aminoglycoside.

Adverse Reactions:

Ocular burning, irritation, non-specific conjunctivitis, conjunctival epithelial defects or hyperemia; superinfection; rare: allergic reactions, thrombocytopenic purpura, hallucinations.
